Canada is the second-largest country after Russia and occupies more 40% area of North America. Although Canada has more massive land, people live sparsely. The most spoken languages of Canada is English and French. Moreover, English and French are the official languages in most provinces and Territories. Both the languages are widely spoken by the country’s population and followed in all official government departments. The primary reason for the spread these languages are the British and French explorers from Europe. They started exploring the world by the 16th century, and significant settlement happened during the 17th century.

Apart from English and French, Canadian’s speaks many native languages. Moreover, few indigenous languages have also got official status in specific province and territories.

The first people to conquest Canada is French and named as New French in the 16th century. During this time, most of the regions of the land were under the control of the French. During the end of the 18th century, Canada is divided into upper and lower Canada. Later by the 18th century, the regions were renamed as Canada east and west.

Canada shares the longest border of 5.525 miles with the United States of America. Also, its the only border with no military surveillance. Moreover, both countries share many excellent features.
